Stair Nosing-98 mm tread with a 35 mm riser
Why would you need a stair nosing with such a large tread?
There are many cases where steps or stairs are being re-furbished to make the steps safe, by highlighting the step edge.
Often the old way of providing slip resistance was to “groove” the step edge. This was very common on concrete and on tiles subsequently those steps are starting to become a hazard.
Example of grooved concrete. In this case the client grooved the stairs, unaware that the standards required a nosing or strip.
This stair nosing for concrete, or pavers has a wide 90 mm tread.
